Pick up 07:30 am at the airport, and drive to the Selous (3-4 hrs).
You will take part in an afternoon boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. Where you can see plenty of hippos, crocodiles and bird life. Overnight at the Selous River Camp All meals included.
You will participate in a full day game drive in Nyerere National Park ex Selous Game Reserve, Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuary, with an area of 54.600kms – bigger than Denmark and 4 times the size of Serengeti!.
Selous has the world’s largest number of large game animals – elephant, buffalo, and rhino. It also contains wildebeest, eland, giraffe, waterbuck, zebra, impala, hippo, leopard and lion, not to mention over 350 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at the Selous River Camp. All meals included.

In the morning you will depart to Wami Mbiki Game Reserve with lunch en-route. Late afternoon game drive in Wami Mbiki Overnight in Camping
Wami Mbiki is a game corridor between Selous, Mikumi, Saadani, Pangani and Kilindi, and has resident populations of lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, kudu, hippos, Lichtenstein Hartebeest, crocodile, zebra, waterbuck, bush buck, warthog, impala, Sunni, duiker, eland, sable, hyena, baboons and an assortment of monkeys. Some rare animals seen are African wild dogs and cheetahs. And at night civets, jennets, bush babies and wild cats can be seen.

After breakfast, depart from Wami Mbiki and journey towards Mikumi National Park, known as the "mini-Serengeti" for its expansive plains and abundant wildlife.
Arrive at your lodge in Mikumi and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive in the park. Mikumi is home to a wide range of wildlife, including lions, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and wildebeests. Dinner and overnight in Camp Bastian Lodge
Full day of game drives in Mikumi National Park Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope. After breakfast, depart for Ruaha National Park, having lunch en-route.
By afternoon you will have reached the Ruaha Hilltop Lodge.Nestled on the slopes of the Ideremle Mountain, Ruaha Hilltop Lodge has breathtaking panoramic views overlooking vast savannah plains. The lodge is a mere 15 km from the gate of Ruaha National Park which has some of Tanzania’s richest concentrations of animal, bird and plant life. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge.
Full day game driving at Ruaha National Park, with picnic lunches. Ruaha has an area of 10,300 sq km, and is the second largest park, and second largest elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. The great Ruaha River that flows along its entire eastern border creates spectacular gorges and scenery, and features a large number of hippos and crocodiles. The wide variety of animals that inhabit the park include both Greater and Lesser Kudu, roan and sable antelope. Bird life is also rich, with over 370 species recorded. Take a packed lunch and head out for a full day game drive, or opt for an early morning or afternoon game drive.Overnight in Ruaha Hilltop Lodge
After breakfast, depart to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Afternoon walking tour around Mang’ula village and get a feeling of a typical Tanzanian day to day life. Back at camp before dinner, enjoy watching the baboons from the spectacular bar while having a sundowner. Dinner and overnight at Udzungwa Falls Lodge.
After breakfast, drive to the park gate and start hiking into the superb primary forest to the base and then the top of the spectacular 180m Sanje Waterfall looking for primates on the way (Iringa Red Colobus and Sanje Mangabey). Swim in plunge pools, see endemic African Violets growing in the spray zones and have lunch in the forest on the top of the falls. Descend after enjoying superb views.
Drive back to the camp in the late evening for your hot dinner and spend the night at Udzungwa Falls Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
End of your southern circuit safari, departure to Dar Es Salaam by vehicle for onward travel.
