Overview

The 4 Day safari to Gombe Stream National Park. Gombe Stream’s main attraction is obviously the chimpanzee families that live protected in the park’s boundaries. Visitors take walks deep into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Val vet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs and dik dik inhabit the dense forest and a wide variety of tropical birdlife.

Day 1 :

Arrive Kigoma then Gombe National Park

Pick up and transfer to Dar airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma 09:10 am Arrive at Kigoma airport 12:10. Pick up on arrival and transfer to Kibirizi port for your boat to Gombe (2 hours private boat). Pick up on arrival and transfer to the camp, 14h00 hot lunches at the camp. Afterwards proceed for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Dinner and night at Kasekela Tented Camp F/B.

Day 2 :

Gombe Stream National Park - Chimpanzee Tracking

On 08h30, Start Chimpanzee tracking in the forest, Gombe became well known for the conservation project started by Jane Goodall, who first arrived in Gombe in 1960. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests, like velvet, Colobus monkeys and baboons, Climb to Jane’s peak and visit Kakombe waterfalls if time allows. Meals and overnight stay at Kasekela Tented Camp.

Day 3 :

Gombe Stream National Park - Chimpanzee Tracking

After breakfast you will take off for chimpanzee trekking in different valleys, do walking in the forest, and visit Mkenge Water Wall . Meals and overnight stay at Kasekela Tented Camp.

Day 4 :

Gombe to Kigoma/ fly back to Dar-es-salaam

Morning after breakfast, pick up and transfer by boat back to Kigoma town. Pick up on arrival and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Dar-es-salaam.
